Main Purpose:· Responsible to systematically understand product basic design concept and working principle for the project assigned, and assure new product development project and all related design document following the company’s new product development and introduction methodology and fundamental procedure and requirement. · Lead/participate new product development and/or its manufacturing process development. Lead/participate/support NPI of assigned new product. Key Accountabilities: · Assure a systematic and good understanding on product basic design concept and working principle for the project assigned, including but not limited to hardware, software, components and manufacturing processes and technology.· Assure a development project to comply with the company new development methodology and procedure, and all related design documents meeting system and procedure requirement.· Lead/participate a new product development project with technical focus on some arena – electronics, material selection, manufacturing process, lab testing etc.· Lead/participate a NPI project by focusing on design manufacturability and reliability.· Work on new product transfers and actively participate in the qualifications and validations of product/equipment and processes.· Work on DFM (design for manufacturability), DFQ (Design for quality), DFR (design for reliability), and DFT (design for testability). And apply related methods and approaches to design and NPI.· Lead/participate process improvement for MP (mass production) products.· Evaluate product/material discrepancies. (PRB/MRB) on time, and implement corrective actions accordant.· Work on special projects assigned by Supervisor/Manager.· Conduct failure investigations in order to initiate, stimulate, and assign corrective action. Issue written reports and update, accordingly.· Provide engineering counseling to less experienced engineers.· Promote an ethical behavior.Attributes:· Flexibility and adaptability· Team work · Detail oriented· Patience and perseveranceExperience and Knowledge:· Minimum 5 years experience in R&D, NPI, or Engineering related to design and manufacturing of small electro/mechanical devices preferably in R&D, NPI, DQE, and FA and test engineering capacity.· Minimum 3 years direct working experience in medical device/instrument, or automotive, or electrical and electronic, or semiconductor industry. .Qualifications:· Bachelor Degree in Engineering,0 strongly preferably in electrical and electronic.
